EXERCISE ADVENT EXPRESS – Nov to Dec 1975
Fairford was used by transport aircraft bringing in the American/Italian/Belgium/German troop and equipment between 26th November and 1st December, and to take them all away again between 8th December and 13th December, due to its proximity to Salisbury Plain.
